What's the Story?

In ATTACK ON TITAN, it's the future, and Earth is depleted of its water supply, relying on the moon Titan to supply its water. But when a spaceship of Earthlings is attacked by a rogue group of guerilla Titans, it's up to Admiral Allison Quince (Erin Coker) and Citizen Prime Ortiz (Michael Pare) to assemble a ragtag crew to come to the rescue. Quince takes command of The Providential, and as they enter Titan's orbit, it doesn't take long for them to discover the magnitude of the danger they face. Quince and crew must find a way to work together to rescue any survivors from the attacked ship, stop the rebel Titans, and return to Earth with water.

Is It Any Good?

Some movies are so bad they're good; this movie is so bad, it's boring. Attack on Titan is a "mockbuster" by the infamous production company The Asylum, and it's chock-full of bad and redundant dialogue, flat acting, and questionable uniform choices (spoiler: the admiral and other women who serve on this space force wear crop tops).

It's also a clunky story made even clunkier with uneven pacing, clichéd characters, and uninspired, well, everything. Often, movies this bad have at least some entertainment value by virtue of being so bad, but this doesn't even have ironic entertainment value. Simply put: It's an excruciating watch.

  • This is a "mockbuster" movie released by a production company notorious for releasing cheap knock-offs with titles and stories similar to those of popular movies. Why do you think mockbusters are made?
