What's the Story?

In BABY SHARK'S BIG MOVIE! Baby Shark (voiced by Kimiko Glenn) and his family leave their beloved home in Carnivore Cove to take on the big city after Mommy Shark (voiced by Natasha Rothwell) gets a new job as an entertainment director. Baby Shark must adjust to his new life without his best friend, William. However, things take a turn when Baby Shark encounters an evil pop starfish named Stariana (voiced by Ashley Tisdale), who plans to steal his star mark to dominate all music under the sea. Baby Shark not only has to learn to navigate a new life and new friendships, but he also has to find a way to stop Stariana and restore harmony to the seas.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 1 ):
Kids say ( 1 ):

Baby Shark's Big Movie! offers fans of the TV series a longer adventure with catchy songs and a star-studded cast with guest voices like Lance Bass, Ashley Tisdale, and Cardi B. Unfortunately, that's where a lot of the positives end. The new music is okay but a lot less memorable than the iconic song.

The plot revolves around Baby Shark and his family moving to Chomp City, introducing new challenges as he navigates friendships. The story takes a slower and more mature format, potentially testing the patience of younger viewers. Additionally, Stariana's quest for world domination brings a new level of intensity and scares than the usual preschool audience might be accustomed to. Not to mention the villain bears a striking similarity to the main female villain in Trolls Band Together. This unfortunate resemblance makes her feel less unique. The movie's deviation from the familiar formula and the potentially frightening scenes might make it less enjoyable for some young audiences.
