Funny but sometimes violent sci-go flick is a great for families!

BTTF II (back to the future part 2) is a 1989 sci-if comedy about Marty and doc brown going to the future of 2015 to save Marty’s kids. This film is definitely great for families and kids but is the violence in BTTF part II ok to watch?

Violence: (5/10 = peril and some guns)
BTTF part II doesn’t have strong violence or any gore but some violence is involved in this film and that includes guns and shootings, punching, characters get knocked out, chocking, and violent dialogue is said.

Language: (7/10 = some brief strong language)
BTTF part II does contain some pretty inappropriate language such as: hell, sh*t, a$$hole, b*tch, and some rude insults.

Sexual themes: (6/10: kissing and some female nudity)
BTTF part II doesn’t contain any graphic nudity or sexuality. But two characters kissing twice on screen and once they almost kiss but are interrupted. And two lady’s are shown naked in a bath tub but nothing graphic is shown.

Drug and alcohol material: (5/10 = implied smoking material)
BTTF part II doesn’t contain much drug or alcohol use. But in one scene it’s implied that a future mom is a alcoholic and the main villain is shown smoking in some photos. And it’s implied that the main villain legalized gambling.

The film: (9/10 = great sequel to forever classic!)
BTTF part II is a great sequel follow up and is probably my favorite sequel ever! And this film is great for families and families who watch this with their kids will have a great time! A must watch for everyone!

OK for 8/9+ DEPENDING ON THE KID

This Movie was quite good, but beware before you go showing this to your kids, Violence: 2/5, This Movie is Pretty violent, in 2015 (Which BTW has flying cars, TV's you can talk to, and a lot more thats probably more like 2070, considering its 2017) Griff wants Marty Jr to do a crime, and Griff gets bashed in a window, Biff in the Future is a pretty violent character in general, at one point he points a gun at Marty, some threats and a terrorist almost shoots someone, Sex: At one point, Biff is in a Hot Tub with 2 Ladies a few kisses, and references to breast sizes, and breast implants, Drinking and Smoking: Ms McFly likes to drink Positive characters:Marty and Doc Brown are once again brave and selfless protagonists trying to undo the wrongs of time travel. Biff, on the other hand, only cares about making money and terrorizing and one-upping everyone he knows, especially the McFly family. Positive:One of the movie's pervasive messages is that if you could change any one thing, it should obviously be to make yourself rich. That said, Marty's time travel demonstrates the importance of family (whereas Biff's desire for time travel is rooted solely in greed and materialism). The movie also has a strong theme about not letting what other people think of you bother you ,Language:B***ch, Sh*t lots and once when just like the first one 50's Biff crashes into Manure, hell, stupid, butthead, loser, sucker

Good to watch with family

It’s a good movie. It’s makes you think about time travel and the future. There are guns though in one part of the movie.

Outdated, awful compared to original

This sequel is not very good. The antagonist is an idiot and there aren't any depictions of strong female characters. Don't bother watching.

More graphic than the first...

The film itself was great, especially that back in 1989 the director thought that 2015 would have flying cars. However, I did not enjoy it as much as the first for the following reasons:
1) There was too much revealing clothing.
2) Biff tries to assault a woman like he did in the previous film.
3) There was a lot of suspense, almost too much.
4) Too much swearing.
Apart from that, a really good film!

Very good but more sexual content than common sense said

First of all, this sequel was VERY good but not as good as the original. When i watch movies i like to find easter eggs, and i did. In one scene when future marty's son is watching tv, one channel shows a woman and light flashes from her breasts. And shows a actual drawing of breasts come from her's. So not very kid appropriate. In another scene when marty is in the messed up 1985 a billboard shows a naked woman, and you can see basically everything. SO again, not very kid appropriate. So, if your kid likes to look for easter eggs, i would say 11+ or 12+. But if your kid doesn't i would say 10+. Also there is ALOT of cussing for a pg movie, frequent uses of bi#ch, a#s and also da#n, BUT this is a 80's movie! Marty and Doc are good role models because, they are always trying to fix their mistakes. The violence isn't too bad, but their are alot of gunshots, and one man's house is destroyed by a gang. So overall good movie but I would say parental guidance for under 9.

Only suitable for mature audiences

Although this is an entertaining movie for older teens, this movie is not suitable for younger audiences. Parents, keep in mind that this movie is PG but a 1980's PG.There are multiple scenes with harsh cursing and suggestive content.Such as when a wife is yelling about how her husband made her get breast implants that she didn't feel comfortable with getting. The husband also has 2 implied mistresses that are on each side of his arm in a hot tub.

80's time travel sequel is still a classic, but does tend to be more edgier than the first one.

The sequel to the original 1985 classic is still very good and is also a classic. I can see why most people like the original more than this one. Now with that being said, I really liked Part II, because even though it may have everything that the original had, the visual effects in the movie is incredible especially when we get to the future part of the movie, the visuals were so incredible in fact, that it was nominated for the academy award for best visual effects, doesn't really come to a surprise. Although, there is rude and dark humor in this movie which is pretty upsetting, but again that's what the PG rating is for. All in all, Back to the Future Part II is a fun, enjoyable sequel that still gives the audience the same charm as the original. 9.5/10

Why is this rated lower than Pt. lll? This was way better than lll!

Teen, 17 years old Written byMovieFanatic13 June 15, 2019

Not as bad as people are saying.

This movie was made in 1989. Now a days it would be pg-13 but i wouldnt even say it needs that. Theres cursing a bit of sexual content but overall shows nothing. My favorite movie of all time its just a great overall. Its basically every kids dream what there doing in this movie. If anything not worse then an avenger movie.

Good movie, cussing match

Overall, this is a super good movie with a lot of good stuff in it, however the sheer amount of cussing is overwhelming.
