Bezos: The Beginning
What's the Story?
BEZOS: THE BEGINNING is a biodrama based on the book Zero to Hero by Tashena Ebanks. The film follows the business plan by Jeff Bezos (Armando Gutierrez) to open an online bookstore during the early years of internet retailers. Bezos and his wife Mackenzie (Alexandria K. Mitchell) decide to quit their jobs at a financial firm and seek investors, which include Jeff's dad Miguel (Emilio Esteban), to start their virtual venture.
Is It Any Good?
Director Khoa Le (Walt Before Mickey) offers an informative look at creator Bezos and his vision for the world's largest retail website. In Bezos: The Beginning, the Amazon.com founder credits his success to his parents and grandparents who "fostered my curiosity and encouraged me to dream big." Bezos had so many inventions in his room when he was a kid that the family's garage was turned into his workshop. "These hardworking, resourceful, and loving people," says the now-billionaire business owner, "made me who I am."
