Horrible movie, my kids were crying

My kids sat with tears streaming down their faces while watching John Cena being violently attacked by zombies. This film is horrifically violent for a kids movie. Do not show your kids this.

The worst Shrek movie ever!

The plot didn't make sense, I didn't understand the part where Shrek and Mickey Mouse got into a feud and get lost I could forgive the absence of a plot if it were funny, but it’s not even that. It’s just a bunch of unfunny scenes of them trying to get back out to Disneyland. The only good plot is where Shrek met SpongeBob, Rick and Morty. But apart from that, this movie is just boring and unfunny, just watch the other Shrek movies.

This Movie made me Contemplate the Collective Existence of the Human Species, Several Times

A gratifying combination of anti-socialist and Sufism propaganda, that promotes active metaphysical reflections for the whole family. But seriously, this movie was an acid trip and a half that found its already lacking plot overshadowed by shockingly horrifying animation from your nightmares. For context, the credits of “Birds like Us” claim that its story is based on the plot of “A Conference of the Birds” by Farid-UnDin, which just so happens to be a Islamic poem about the journey one is expected to take to reach a greater connection to God. It does live up to the message of its inspiration with not-so-subtle religious symbols sprinkled throughout the film. In the last 15 minutes of the movie, the characters question: “And who carries carries us now? Did you make it night? Did you move the water, or make the wind blow? Theres a king who makes all that happen”, followed by a cross ascending into the sky. After their revelation of a divine king “of the stars” the birds are granted the ability to fly and literally rise to the heavens. The main characters are motivated to take their journey away from their home because of the high “taxes” imposed by savage predatory rulers. Interpret this how you will, but to me it seemed a bit much. In addition to disturbing strobe lights and nausea inducing visuals, the characters consume psychedelic berries from a magical tree, that cause them to hallucinate and claim that they are “So high!” I don’t find anything wrong with the morals expressed in the story, but it is important to understand the context that it was written in. This is a religious movie. At the end of the day, Birds like us is both aesthetically insulting, and a sensory violation. The plot is unclear and confusing, and the cast are poorly developed. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!
