Fast-paced, fun action comedy is extremely entertaining

Bullet Train is a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining movie that does not drag or become dull in its considerable runtime. For the whole 126 minutes of the film, I was constantly at the edge of my seat in excitement, and I have to point out that the special effects and choreography were insanely good. Although I thought the film was very enjoyable, it was too lighthearted and vibrant to contain any impactful moments. This prevented it from being a 5-star movie for me and caused some people to not like it too much. I too would have not thought too much about it if it weren't for the incredibly good characters. It would be impossible to write a review in which I don't commend the film's engaging, funny and charismatic characters. Tangerine (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Lemon (Brian Tyree Henry) in particular were spectacularly funny characters, and they effortlessly entertained me throughout the film. I loved every single scene with them in it. Brad Pitt's playful and consistently calm nature benefited the film as well, because it suited its lighthearted tone. Channing Tatum's cameo was hilarious as well. Nearly all casting decisions were excellent, with the only one I would question being Michael Shannon as The White Death. I believe the film would have greatly benefited from choosing an actor with more physically intimidating features to induce a more menacing tone when it came to the infamous villain. Besides this, the casting was tremendously amazing with each actor and actress excellently suiting their role. The only other thing I thought was a bit questionable was Zazie Beetz's entrance as The Hornet. It felt as if just as the character was introduced, she was SPOILER, killed off. It seems like she was wasted in the film, and I would have liked to see her get more involved. Now that I am done with my movie review, I will begin my content review. For content I would give Bullet Train: 5.5/10 Sex - A very brief sex scene (seen through a window) that shows thrusting, and suggested sex when characters kiss on a bed. 5/10 Nudity - Brief topless female nudity when characters have very brief sex (the scene is seen through a window). 8.5/10 Violence - Incredibly frequent action sequences with accompanying gore. For the most part, there are stabbings, shootings and fighting with blood and gore being shown. The more violent scenes include multiple people bleeding out of their eyes after being injected with venom from a boomslang snake, a man being cut in half, and chopped-off arms being seen briefly. The most violent scene is when a man is shot through the face, with chunks of his head flying off in a very gory fashion. The aftermath is shown for a little while. 10/10 Language - Around 100 f-bombs (mainly from Tangerine) and other milder profanities. 5/10 Themes - Although the film is violent, the playful and lighthearted nature of the film vastly lessens its impact. 4.5/10 Drugs - A drug is poured into a man's drink to make him sleep, multiple people consume snake venom and people drink at a wedding. Overall, Bullet Train is a visually pleasing, unique and engaging film that is thoroughly entertaining. It fuses the vibrant and aesthetic world of Japan with fast-paced action to entertain the viewer and is a film worth watching (especially on the big screen). I would recommend it, but only to people aged 14 and over due to the film's violence and language.

Violent

I’ll just put it out to you Swears: F-bombs literally in every sentence $ex: A man and a women are in bed, presumably naked, and a women is on all fours with a man behind her (none of these lasted for very long) Violence: Very gorey and bloody, half of a man’s face blows off, the poisoned characters bleed through their eyes, which was…. There was some humour which was good but overall, I didn’t enjoy it much, but if you like those things, you do you. There is some nice lessons about karma and stuff, if you believe in that though
