A Classic, But Not for the Entire Family
This is a very entertaining, gripping classic! I really liked it! I would say that there is a lot of violence, but there are a few exaggerations, too. The review says no sex, but there is some kissing near the beginning, but nothing worse than that. Also, there is 3/5 for language, but all there is is taking the Lord’s name in vain. Nothing worse there either. Also, I think kids younger than 17 are okay to see this. It’s nothing a mature 15-year-old can’t handle. Stephen King horror tales are always the best ones in the horror genre. It was weird, but well-made and startling, but not scary.

Wayy to violent
This movie is way too violent and definitely should not be seen by any young kids- definitely not till at least high school. Personally I think it’s an horrible too violent movie. The idea of kids murdering adults is just way too disturbing. That and the sacrifice/ blood cutting science is way too bloody as well as the kid who gets his throat cut. And alluding to still barely legal kids making out while being watched by other kids is just plain creepy. Any parent who lets a still child watch this honestly are horrible at parenting and should think twice before having more kids. I would stay far away from this...

"Children of the Corn": Review
"Children of the Corn" is a classic horror movie about child Satanists who kill their parents, and rule the town of Gatlin. Although this movie sounds bad there is little gore, and stabbings are obviously fake. Also, Isaac's 'satanic' beliefs are not in detail. "Children of the Corn" is rated 'R' but now could very easily pass as a 'PG-13'. This classic horror is okay for children 11 and up.

A classic horror
A very frightening and suspenseful shocker based on the short story by Stephen King. This improves on the source material which wasn't a particularly interesting book with very dull and uninteresting characters that were annoying. This film pushes it head and shoulders above the majority of horror films that came out in the 80s, including The Shining. Well worth a watch on Halloween.

I really loved this movie
This was a great film that did not even contain that much gore. I would recommend this to anyone 12+ who is looking for a good movie.

Depending on Person
This movie is really depending on the person. I watched it with my mom when I was 14. I knew it was all fake and I was really getting into horror movies at the time.
It isn't really gory in my opinion. There are dead bodies, but the movie is from the 80's so the detail isn't the uber best. I don't like much gore and I didn't throw up, so if that says something.
There is some implied sex between two teenagers. Nothing it really shown, though they do show the rest of the cult watching on. If you personally aren't comfortable with this, don't watch it or just skip it. It is one scene and it is like five minutes, if that.
It doesn't really follow the short story, but is close enough to it in the violence. There is murder and fighting, but that comes with the territory of the movie.
I would say to let your teenagers watch it. It is a unique concept for the time; the children being the murders. If you want your younger children to watch it, just make sure they know the difference between what is real and what is fake. It could terrify them otherwise.
I would also say to avoid it if you a sensitive to the idea of children having sex. While not being fully shown and barely having any really standing in the movie, it can be a no-no for some people and probably wouldn't be appropriate for the younger crowds. The story revolves around a cult. It steams more towards the Satanic side without really being "Satanic". Still, if you have issues with that, defiantly stay away from this movie and all of its sequels.

Corn jokes!
Can be corny at times! Thanks to Nostalgia Critic Children of the Corn is not forgotten. Lots of gore and violence with kids like South Park in the 1980's. Nice old Americana settings too. Good for a Halloween nostalgia party. In consumerism lots of cheap DVD sequels.
