While young children who appreciate Dolly Parton may want to watch Christmas on the Square, it is definitely more appropriate for older tweens and teens. Expect some adult references including a plotline revolving around teen pregnancy, mentioned death of a loved one and an intense scene surrounding a young girl involved in an accident with some blood shown, and some language. Despite some heavy themes, the power of love, forgiveness, and Christmas magic prevails in the end.
