It’s not scary to me, just a little gross and there is a lot of swearing . Some parts are actually a little freaky but, I never even had a nightmare, just some jump scares. I think there is drinking

A Huge Let Down
I am a horror fanatic and I was really excited to watch this one because of the amazing reviews it got. Oh lord...It was just...Nothing special. The characters were weak, the story itself was weak, and the "plot twist" was predictable from the start. It was just a mediocre home invasion horror movie in my opinion. As for an age rating...eh. If you watch a lot of horror movies, you would not be too shocked by anything. If you are new to the horror scene, the twist will probably bother you, so watch for that. But besides that, if you are looking for a good horror movie, I do not recommend this one.

A clever home invasion movie, but slightly boring at times.
The characters were amazing, and the actors were great. The idea of the victim of the home invasion being the villain of the movie was really cool, and the development of the protagonist was great.

Super enjoyable, but not for kids.
The first two acts of this movie are, quite honestly, pretty tame, and if the rest of the movie were to have the same level of adult content, this movie would probably be a good watch for brave, horror-loving tweens. It's super scary and intense, but if your kid likes horror then they probably will like that. There's plenty of language, but that isn't really a concern for me, but if you don't want your kid hearing that stuff, maybe steer clear. Violence is mainly limited to shootings, which are bloody, but are not gratuitous and don't last very long. Sexual content isn't an issue either, limited to gestures and references. If your kid is a fan of the horror genre, none of this stuff should be a problem.
(SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT)
But then we get a scene of sexual violence where a woman is bound up and almost artificially inseminated by the blind man with a turkey baster of his own semen (which is seen in close-up). This is stopped, but it is still very upsetting, and probably not something you want your younger kids seeing, and if you're sensitive to sexual violence, STAY AWAY. The man then is then beaten with a hammer, and then has the semen-filled turkey baster kicked in his mouth. Later, he is finally hit in the head with a crowbar a bunch of times and falls into the basement, killing him,
The turkey baster scene is pretty shocking a comes out of nowhere, and violence gets a lot more graphic after that. I'm marking this as 16-plus because this scene is upsetting, but older teens may be able handle it. If you are triggered by sexual violence at all, stay far away from this movie. It's definitely a good film, and if you think your teen can handle it, go right ahead,
