Great for any literate family

Hilarious and especially applicable in the dark Covid-19 times. Funniest suicide scene in history (though that is an especially limited category).

Great political satire!

Truly a classic film done by the excellent Stanley Kubrick. This film is best understood as a satire piece and is still very relevant today. While there isn't anything outright inappropriate, there is some violence, smoking, and suggestive content. Despite this, the main factor of consideration is whether your children will understand the underlying message of the film.

Classic Kubrick. Great writing, and one of the best endings to a film.

I would give this movie 2 star rating, because it wasn't so good at jokes or any funny humors. The movie is strange but it's pertaining to an even that almost happen in the U.S. The film did an okay job to get at. But overall the acting was good and fit the role but I still questioned why then mad scientist had no control his hand but control on the situation being done. I found out that one little mistake could lead up to a bigger situation and cause chaos.

Strange Love

The movie itself is really boring and the fact is that you needed a certain type of understanding or humor to understand the movie and the lines of each character, this movie might've been popular back then but i guess you half be like 70 years old to understand the points of this movie and of course it'll make you laugh if you that certain humor but hey all in all this movie is still a movie, hope you families enjoy.

Any thing good

In this particular movie, the story is similar and ironic to the events of the previous war. But the roles of the characters were the most thrilling to have. It had me wanting to have more interest. The film was a bit more interesting of how the scenes were made in the movie. The villain wasn't quite the bad scientist that I expect to be so arm controlling and always in motion. The story line had not be so thrilling for the first time watching the movie. As the pieces that came together in one piece. The part where slim pinens had a good ride until the explosive went off. But as the scene had given a message that the United States wouldn't care about the bodies being killed but only about the damage that is done. Never good to almost press the button.

You have to be older to understand the references.

I give this movie a 2/5 stars because it satisfied not one of my funny bones; not to mention the humor was childish and in my opinion dry. Joking around, in a movie, proposing we should just send all nukes in at once and destroy Communist Russia is nothing to be made fun of. The Cold War was pretty serious. Well, besides the fact of the war being serious; the movie may have just not been in my era...I do understand all of the references, but the movie almost solely made fun of American soldiers and leaders, although it made fun of the Communists just as much if not more. I have great respect for our military and this movie made fun of them too much for my liking. The film did have great sound qualities for the time; gunshots fired were very well simulated, and they almost sounded real. Also, the airplanes used in the movie were very good for their time. Besides the sound, the graphics and camera angles were done well. In the war room, camera and lighting styles were used to portray the right tone and attitude. The other notable camera angles and lighting shots used, were almost all in the cockpit with the pilots, or in the room with the General and the French man. Concluding, complimenting the sound and graphic styles is all I have to say that is good about the movie.

eeeehhhh...

I gave this movie 2 stars becaause Dr.Strangelove was a confusing movie. But the director was making fun of the bombing, president and everyone behind it. Although it took a while to make it's point I'd say I didn't really enjoy this movie. Making everything a little dramatic was funny. The same song kept playing when "the hero" would come onto the screen or it would just be complete silence. The point was to make fun of the bombing and cowboys I think the director did a pretty good job making sure the audience understood the comedy in the film. I also didnt get the thing with Strangelove & his arm?

The war and bombing

While watching the movie, the film was intense by the sound effects of the weapons shooting away and the explosion when it goes off, but some of the shootings sound like laser sounds and how the bomb goes off when the pilot was on tips of the bomb and riding it like his own bull, but the sound of the weapons were cool and some were lazer sound weapons. Although, it's really catchy of how the movie goes and the voice of the cowboy pilot sound like a red neck and funny.
