Suspense in every scene

Tried this with my 6yo who loves the How to Train your Dragon franchise, but we only made it halfway through. The nonstop suspense - heightened by dark colors and doom-and-gloom music - was too much for him. Steer clear if your kids get anxious easily!

Movie is fine, but nowhere near as good as the book ("Dragonrider")

The book is a family favorite. We knew the movie would be different, but even so it was disappointing. Its a long book, but the movie jumps around from piece to piece and some sequences don't hang together well. Nettlebrand might be scary for small kids, but overall the themes are positive. Depiction of the village in India is full of stereotypes.
