The protagonist and his love interest kiss a few times. Men are briefly shown shirtless. Violence(4/5): War violence is shown throughout, with plane battles, explosions, trench battles, and gunfire. Several soldiers die, including main characters. A man is crushed under a plane after a crash and is forced to cut his hand off(not shown). One death in a plane is bloody, with a man’s chest splurting blood after being shot. Positive Messages(3/5): The film encourages diversity, equality, teamwork, bravery and nobility. Positive Role Models and Representations(3/5): Some courageous war heroes are shown, and sacrifice is viewed as noble. Watching Experience: Nothing of note with my experience regarding mature content. Come on this was great, lots of underlying messages.

This movie was really good, in both the way it depicted war, and the messages lying beneath the movie. You need to watch it with an open mind to get anything out of it, but you need to understand it for it to be good. I love this movie, yes there was violence and some blood, but its really good! Listen to the underlying messages and you'll be a far happier person. This is a morality tale and should be watched as one

"Slip there killer?" -Blain Rawlings

This is an amazing film about the pilots in WWI. The story isn't bland as CS said, and has a great story with emotion, amazing action sequences, and really shows you what war was like. Blain Rawlings is a farm-boy who travels to France to join the "Flyboys", and he soon is taught how to fly a plane. This film is often violent, and isn't for young tweens who haven't yet seen films like "The Patriot" or "The Alamo." Pilots are killed in air-combat by machine guns, (blood splatters onto windshields occasionally) and though not much gore is shown, there is a lot of bloody wounds and gun holes. Warfare in the trenches is also shown, and men are shot with rifles, bombs leave craters and throw dirt, and Blain is forced to cut off a fellow man's hand to free him from being stuck under a plane. (It's not graphic, but he screams) Luceanne is shot, and goes to the hospital, many beloved pilots die, one commits suicide instead of burning to death, and Blain shoots a man with a pistol 3 times, (once in the head and blood splatters). It's hard to watch at times, but the violence really shows how War was, and doesn't bring glory to it. Language is infrequent, but "D**n", "Hell", and "God*amn" are used.

CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T SEE IT SOONER!!!

While there is, of course, some violence; it doesn't matter because this is a FANTASIC movie! We watched this in class and it was definitely the best movie i've seen in a WHILE I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!! One thing, I find that you get really attached to the characters and sometimes its sad. Otherwise, AMAZING MOVIE!!!

Pretty good...

This is a great movie. There is minimal language, although there is one sexual scene. you see women in the langerie of that period(which is not much worse than what women will go out in today) and a little bit of innuendo. The violence may be a little much for sensitive people.
