terrible
it's just lame. the so called humor isn't humorous, the script is bad. What's worse is the line that insults God, saying "that God must have been drunk". That's blasphemy. All around just a terrible movies.

Excellent storyline but a lot of bad swearing throughout the movie.
First of all, I love this movie a lot, but there is a very big problem with it, the language. There is so so so so so so so so so so so much teamwork so who cares about the swearing GO GHOSTBUSTERS

Do the reviewers know what the middle finger means??
This was sort of funny, if not goofy. I am most disturbed by the scene mentioned in another review regarding the boss giving the ghostbusters the middle finger not once, not twice, but SEVERAL times. This was right after telling them to "suck it". This is not what I want my 11 year old daughter exposed to when watching a movie. I was very surprised that the CSM review did not mention this scene.

Way More Language than Anticipated
I wish I'd have read all the reviews before I let my 8 and 10 year olds watch this movie. Common Sense says that language is infrequent and the words they list are mild. However, I would estimate that there are well over 20 curse words in this movie (probably more) and they say some that are not listed in Common Sense's review, including "F**K", "B*tch", and "G-D". They also have one guy flipping his middle finger and multiple instances where they use God's name in vain. There is also a very disturbing scene where a guy commits suicide by electrocuting himself. This movie definitely earned it's PG-13 rating.

Makes me lose faith in Common Sense Media
I can't believe the review on this recommends it for 11 year olds and the parents reviews say even 10 year olds. The language is really bad, you have a man talking to women about "making the boobs bigger", middle fingers, tons of innuendo, and the finale includes the ladies teaming up to blast the villain with lasers to his groin. I thought I could trust Common Sense Media to be an ally in making media decisions with my kids, but this makes me lose a lot of confidence.

Dont watch. Watch the ORIGINAL! (9yr old speaking)
IT TOOK EVERY SINGLE THING I LOVED ABOUT THE OG. they replaced the characters, the acting is just, UGHHHHHH... AND THERE are a bunch of boring SCENES THAT DONT MAKE ANY SENSE. they just talk about mathy mathy mathy chemistry chemistry math math math science! BOOM. thats how we made proton pack! at least the original makes sense. the original has a bit of technological vocabulary, but it still makes sense so that you understand what they did and the mechanisim. most scenes are boring and characters, ARE NOT FUNNY. THE JOKES ARE SOOOOOOOOOO corny and they make me want to throw up. bad acting, DISPRESPECTS the original ghostbusters! it has a joke about god, (blasphemy people)! the original does not. not very good. a character commits suicide not because of deppression, because they want too. there is no lesson. the original had a lesson about teamwork and working together, and karma. this IS THE WORST! HATE EVERY SINGLE THING OF IT.

I liked it
I think other than language and a few creepy scenes this is a great movie for adults and kids. Also why is there so much fuss about the god must have been drunk line being disrespectful I thought it was hilarious.

Should have been better.
Goes to show you, if the writing is bad the an alright cast can't save it. I got this movie for free and I feel ripped off.

A filthy remake and NO positive model
Do not click to watch or you will regret it =(
Only a few minutes into the movie:
- lot of swearing including F# word, B# word
- middle fingers
- lot of vulguar and sexual references
- references to lesbians (the main character and her assistant were a couple and some flirting and sexual references involved)
- higher education (princeton, columbia, etc, uni) is looked down upon.
Where is the common sense in rating this movie to be watched by 11 yrs olds??
