Goofy horror comedy is cartoonishly violent.

The film is practically a live action cartoon. All the violence is incredibly cartoonish, including gremlins shooting each other on a in-universe talk show, gremlins crushed in an elevator, and hundreds of gremlins being electrocuted. The film cartoonish in every aspect, and includes some mutated gremlins which could potentially scare younger viewers. These include a brainy gremlin who can speak, a spider gremlin, a bat gremlin, and a gremlin who is an electrical current (who is used later in the film to electrocute all of his brethren to death). Overall: 10+ for non-stop cartoonish violence/gore throughout.

Great comedy

This film is much more comedy than horror and I think is a more enjoyable watch than the first one.

Just Awful...

This movie has a few funny moments but other than that its just terrible and deeply unfunny. Also it ruins every single thing that made the first one so good.

Mutated gremlins went too far(contains minor spoilers)

I think the movie is good , but more violent. In this movie , Gizmo gets kidnapped by Christopher Lee who wants to experiment on him (and possibly mutate him). Billy then hears about this and saves him. Gizmo becomes too afraid to escape and hides. He then gets exposed to water and produces new gremlins. One of them gets mutated and becomes the "Brain" Gremlin. Brain goes way too far when he discovers the secrets of his mutation and he mutates some of the other gremlins. This includes a very dangerous electric gremlin, an extremely hyper, violence loving gremlin , two flying gremlins (one of which can survive in sunlight!), a super-strong gremlin and a horrifying spider gremlin. We also find out that , despite hating violence itself , Gizmo is a big fan of extremely violent films like Rambo. There is a funny scene where Gizmo remembers a quote from Rambo 3 saying that you have to become a war in order to win one. He then tries to work out but fails funnily at everything before he decides that he is ready to become a war ( impersonating Rambo) and shoot a flaming arrow at the spider gremlin. While this is an iconic moment, it may not be suitable for young kids. The same holds true for most moments in this movie.

More comedy than horror

I'm not sure what poor confused soul decided to have the age suggestion higher than the original. This horror comedy truly is MUCH more comedy than horror.

not as much story, but a great sequel

The first time i watched it, I didn't really like it, I watched it again and liked it better, and the other day I watched it yet again, and i must say; I LOVED it! My point is you should watch it more than once, just to get a real idea of how good it is, and be aware: it does not have the same horror tone as the first one. As a movie four stars, but as a sequel five
