What's the Story?

In KYLE LARSON VS. THE DOUBLE, the two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion attempts the most difficult challenge in motorsports—completing the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in one day. In the pursuit for the NASCAR impossible, Kyle Larson gives audiences a rare behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to compete at the highest level on and off the racetrack.

Not your average sports underdog story, this documentary offers a rare and refreshingly honest look into a high-profile driver. Kyle Larson may have crashed and burned in his real life, but his relatability here feels like a win. Larson takes accountability for his actions (getting caught publicly using the "N" word) and approaches his second chance with gratitude. This behind-the-scenes look on and off the track gives real insight into the hard work, resilience, and teamwork that is needed to succeed. While overall this film is probably most appealing to NASCAR and sports fans, all audiences can appreciate Kyle Larson's courage to authentically share his "sad docu" with the world—a compelling watch from beginning to the finish line.
