What's the Story?
When the Lalaloopsy girls invite new friends to visit, they soon make the acquaintance of four ponies who are eager to make it to a big show. Trouble is, their caravan has broken down and needs some rebuilding, and they also need to rehearse for the show while visiting with the girls. The Lalaloopsies must put their heads together to fix the caravan in time for the big performance and learn the importance of communication and teamwork along the way.
Is It Any Good?
Fans of the dolls likely will enjoy the addition of ponies to the lineup in LALALOOPSY PONIES: THE BIG SHOW. This is a visual feast for a preschooler -- bright colors, doll-like characters (replete with button eyes), and lots of fast-paced action and dreamy backdrops. There's not much to it, but the simple messages are positive, if a bit jumpy in terms of plot and story. The main concern for parents is that this feeds a direct desire for more merchandise in the Lalaloopsy world, but it's otherwise an upbeat adventure focused on the little things that matter a lot: finding out what your friends really like, learning that friends don't all like the same things, working together to achieve goals, and having fun.
