Legend Quest: The Origin
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In LEGEND QUEST: THE ORIGIN, when a human baby crosses the portal that separates the realms of the living and the dead, the evil sorceress Moira views the child as an opportunity to gain control of the portal. Two sugar skull characters and other spirits decide to rescue the baby and embark on a journey filled with danger and magical attacks.
Is It Any Good?
This entertaining animated film blends fantasy, a few scares and comedy with adventure and combat sequences. The characters face challenges, changing and growing throughout their journey, while the development of the antagonists follows a linear path.
Legend Quest: The Origin was conceived as a prequel to the "The Legend" series, this movie differs from the others in that its script is not based on any existing legend in Mexican culture besides some sugar skulls characters. The film depicts relationships between spirits and living beings that we see explored in other films within this series. Visible in the background, the story aims to protect human innocence from evil spirit forces.
