Not too bad, should be PG-13
It’s still pretty dark, and definitely may disturb some people for sure, but it isn’t that bad. It’s supposed to be a remake of Let The Right One In, which I’ve never seen, but I’ve heard that it’s a lot worse than this. I watched this movie, and I found that there is in fact no nudity at all. Well, there are a couple scenes of people being shirtless, and it does appear that the two main characters have some growing sexual attraction between each other, but there were no breasts or privates shown. Nothing a teenager couldn’t handle. Just a couple of kisses, and that’s the worst of it. Now, the kids in this movie aren’t the best role models, but that’s the point. They don’t know any better. Well, the boy is kind of an idiot, but that’s what makes the movie interesting. If he was smarter, it would’ve been a very different movie. Yes, he is going through a lot, and you should almost feel bad for him, divorce, bullying, loneliness, etc. but he does do a few really unintelligent things. He and the girl wouldn’t be close friends and the movie wouldn’t turn out how it did at the end though. There is a lot of violence and gore, however nothing too extreme. There’s a scene where a person gets stabbed in the neck, but not in detail, however blood does pour out, but you can’t see the wound or anything. The vampire girl attacks a few victims, and you can see some gore, and in one scene she even attacks a few characters at a pool, and rips their heads off, which are then shown bleeding and falling into the water. This was actually to save the main character of this movie from the bullies that were taunting him though, and when this scene happened, I think they were trying to murder him honestly. Swearing isn’t too bad. There are some f bombs, and the s word is said a few times, but nothing serious. No racial slurs or things that extreme. Overall, good story about friendship, and caring for others, and the struggles of growing up sometimes, and adolescence. Standing up for yourself is an important message in the movie too, just maybe they should’ve portrayed it differently. Again though, that’s the point of it being a horror movie. The two main characters are idiots, so it’s what you’d expect. If they weren’t, the movie wouldn’t be the same at all. It’s actually kinda funny at some points, despite it being quite disturbing at other times. As long as your kid knows right from wrong and not to copy some of the protagonists’ actions in this movie, then they should be okay. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it to a little kid because there is a lot of gore and swearing, and some smoking and drinking too, so I’d say 13-14 years old is probably when it’d be ok to watch this. Maybe younger (depending on the kid). Even some adults would probably have a hard time watching this. Overall great movie, I would totally recommend it.

Bloody but moving.
I enjoyed this a lot. It isn't a masterpiece for sure, but the acting, writing and cinematography made for a tense film. The bully scenes are horrific as well. The romance in the film is a bit forced and boring but the kills are nicely 'executed' with enough blood and gore to leave a horror fan satisfied.

Very gory.
I would not agree with 18+ but it is still R for sure. Vampire attacks have high amounts of bloodshed, and they happen pretty often in the movie. In the beginning, naked Owen looks at himself in the mirror, showing what I thought was a brief glimpse of nudity. Cursing is pretty mild, "f--k"s scattered across the movie but still under 10 uses. Other mild cursing, too. Overall, this movie is great but R.

This is my favorite movie ever
I’m only 13 and will say it’s rated R but, it’s duch a great movie , their is only 1 part of nudity which is a women’s chest it’s at the begining and not very close up other than that nothing seems to be scary for me.

I think the story is quite sad. The boy is being bullied and although what he did might not have been right its quite sad to think someone can go through that. Its romantic in a sweet way and the horror is light. Is some nudity where a womens breast is shown just so you know.

I enjoy this remake a tad more than the original.
The remake is more violent by the way. Kodi-Smit-McPhee and Chloe Grace Mortez were excellent just as Kåre Hedebrant and Lina Leandersson. For some reason, this was more interesting than the original. Don't get me wrong, I love the original, but this is quite an improvement. McPhee and Mortez's chemistry was more believable, in my opinion. Grade: A

Let Me In (2010)
I haven't actually seen this film yet, but I'm dying too. I have seen the reviews and the trailer and Chloë Moretz is very good at horror roles as she is truly amazing in Carrie and the Amityville Horror. Let Me In is a dark story on a young vampire (Moretz) who befriends a young boy(Kodi Smit-McPhee), ditched by his mother. A freaky, yet inspirational horror magnificence. A must see, but of mature age as younger viewers may find it disturbing. A fair chunk of violence and gore in there. Id say a mature 13. y/o could watch this film. Keep it up Chloë Grace Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee! Great acting.

In my top 10!!
Going into this movie I thought it was going to be like twilight... Pale kids, Cheesy Acting, and a whole lot of sparkle, but instead I find this is a breath taking movie. Let me start by saying that I don't think this should be considered a horror movie... I mean it had some moments of jumps but to me it's more of a drama. This movie is claimed to have "Strong Bloody Horror Violence," but to me personally this is a lie. It had some scenes of violence and blood, but I feel it is no where near as graphic as some of the other movies I've seen that had the rating this did. There is nothing very sexual except for one scene where a man and a woman kiss and her robe starts to fall in a distance and poor lot view in an extremely brief scene. And there is also one scene where a girl gets into a bed with a boy she is naked but there is absolutely no nudity isn't intended really to be sexual. Some infrequent language. Honestly mature 11. Suggested MPAA rating R: Some Bloody Violence, Disturbing Content, Sensuality, Language, and Brief Partial Nudity
