I believe that this harrowing and heartbreaking movie dives in detail into the very important and interesting life of Malcolm X. I have also read the book and I believe that Spike Lee did one of the best jobs of making a book to a movie.

I want other families to know that you should let your child, children watch this movie. You cannot keep them in the dark forever and this movie shows them what the real world is like, without being too inappropriate.

Very violent and disturbing, but still a good movie.

Although this movie is really good, I don't like all the violence and swearing. There are several uses of the n-word (although it is only used by african-americans) and there is a graphic shooting of malcolm x with tons of blood and it is extremely bloody and disturbing, especially seeing his wife cry over his dead body. Although, this movie does have many positive messages and role models but this movie is definitely not for 13+ and is best for adults only.
