These legends were selected for the exclusive tournament while still in high school. Players, coaches, organizers, and family members talk about the impact the tournament has had on generations of players, as well as how the sport has changed over the decades.

This is a niche documentary, but of course basketball's many fans will fill that niche easily. Meal Ticket builds a compelling history of the McDonald's tournament's role in changing the face of basketball and impacting the lives of hundreds if not thousands of players over the years. There's nothing particularly innovative about the way the story is constructed, beyond a few creative montages and collages, but the behind-the-scenes tales and individual stories will be worth the watch for anyone interested in the sport.
