I remember watching this in Kindergarten when I was about 4 or 5 years old and I loved it! This movie is one of my favorites that I watched that year. The film is about a puppy who stowed away in a basket because he wants to be like his cousins ( dingoes). There were funny parts and I rewatched it again when I was 10 years old and I still loved it!!! The movie is a rare jem to watch besides Homeward Bound, The Black Stallion, Paulie, Fluke, DolphinTale, and others. This movie is not as sad as Old Yeller or Marley and Me. Instead it is funny and the photography is really good. The parrots were really funny and I remember the song they sang. " Muffin you're going to get lost. Muffin you're going to get eaten. Muffin Muffin Muffin you're going to get lost." Or " Kanga roo la roo la roo." The movie has heartwarming moments and great messages. My favorite part was when he saved a baby wild dogs' life and the mom let him stayed and spent the night with them until tomorrow. That was the heartwarming moment for me and caused me to tear up a little. This movie will have u laughing and crying all at the same time. Sure it's old but some of the old movies are really good!!! There were no scary scenes when I watched it and I didn't recognize any mainly because I was 5 and I handled it really well and didn't get nightmares from it. This film is an enjoyable film with bautiful scenery of Australia!! Have fun watching it!!!!

When you look at the movie cover, you will see a common kids movie, but never judge a book by it's cover. This is one of the most underrated movies ever! The best part about it is the direction. The shots and the angles of the countless Australian backgrounds are AMAZING! Along with the Bill Conti soundtrack, which is one the best soundtracks I've heard. The rest of the movie is very cute, and has a lot of likable characters. My only problem is the songs, which some are good, and some are annoying. But honestly, it is a MUST especially for little kids.
