BEST FAMILY MOVIE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!!!

Definitely one of my favorite movies! Paul is a good role model cuz he always tries to do the right thing and protect innocent people. No inappropriate scenes. Some swearing tho. It COULD have been pg13, but there is nothing over the top. Overall GREAT MOVIE! It could bore little kids tho

This movie sums up adventure and comedy plus the scene in the bar is pretty hilare! There is loads of comic violence and quite a lot of drinking reference. If ur into Kevin James stuff, which I am, then you'll 100% love it!

Kevin James does it again in new franchise

Paul Blart is a "mall cop" just trying to look after the mall. Some slapstick violence comes along the way with a great cast of characters. Violence is part of the comedy. Realistic slapstick violence is present. Characters get beaten up, hurt comically. There are also explosions. Characters get bruised but no blood or gore is seen. Language can sometimes be mature but is occassional; frequent use of @$$, damn, crap, and one $h!t with other crude humour. Sexuality isn't graphic or mature. Characters discuss relationships, online dating, and two of the main characters kiss. Drugs and use of alcohol is shown in one scene. The setting is in a bar, Paul Blart accidentally drinks a Margherita drink. He ends up getting drunk and does weird crazy things.

Slapstick humor, good movie, and yet...

I am a 13 year old with older siblings at 20 and 24, and although I have become a little above slapstick at this point, I enjoyed this movie. It includes epic plot twists and great acting. Honestly, I believe the reviews here on common sense media don't make a lot of sense. There is practically no sex, except for a kiss and (oh disaster) a scene in victoria's secret, which practically everyone walks past when they go to a mall. Most kids who are nine, (unless they have led extremely, extremely sheltered lives) have already heard any language mentioned in this movie. I don't understand why consumerism is an issue, but this movie has a lot of it. Although many scenes take place in a mall, (hence the consumerism) no products are actively marketed, unless your child has been really wanting a segway, because the movie includes a lot of riding around on those. The only thing that keeps me from rating this comedy 7+ is the drunk scene. After saying that he "doesn't drink," the character accidentally drinks to margaritas and gets drunk. Like, really drunk. It's hard to watch the crazy antics he indulges in, including touching peoples faces, being generally disruptive, and drinking out of other's glasses. All in all, this is a good movie, but be careful with the drunk scene as it may be too much for your younger child.

FUNNY FOR TWEENS & OLDER

Good movie! Really funny! Some suggestive stuff. Paul does get Drunk. There are also jokes on obesity. Mild Strong Language.Nothing stronger than s--t. Moderate Violence. A guy does get shot in the hand.A few scary images of guns shooting, but then turns out funny. Sex isn't terrible. Paul does have a crush. A sex joke or two but nothing too sexual. Good for tweens and up or for ages 7-10 if mature

paul blart mall cop is not for little kids

i think paul blart mall cop is a amazing movie but its not for little kids because it has some raunchy humor like paul blart running over a dog at the begining of the movie and paul blart gets drunk at a bar theirs some swearing like hell and s--t and some people take over the mall and threaten to kill some people with that being said i dont reccomend paul blart mall cop for anyone under the age of 13

SO FUNNY MADE ME DIE OF LAUGHTER

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It was hilarious. You may think that this movie is friendly, but at some parts it is not. Paul Blart gets beaten up once by a bunch of thieves. There is also another part where a bunch of people are held hostage and Paul Blart has to try and save them. The thieves do have guns and they do threaten to kill one of the people held hostage. There are some scenes with explosions but it really is not that bad. People do make fun of Paul Blart and they do make fat jokes about him. You do see some sexy scenes in this movie. You see a girls bra and you see two people kissing. Two people talk about their relationship but nothing happens. For a kids movie they do say some bad stuff like shit, ass, hell etc. There is one scene where Paul Blart gets extremely drunk while he is with his friends. You might not want your kids watching that part and you might want to fast forward it. Overall the movie is not that bad and I would say that tweens and older should be able to watch this movie. It is really funny and you should really watch it.

Kevin James delights in this unconventional comedy about an unlikely hero

Kevin James wrote, produced, and starred in this movie as the titular character: Paul Blart. As such, it has some of the raw slapstick comedy that is both imaginative and unconventional that James became famous for. The tale of an under-appreciated Mall Cop named Paul Blart forced to take down a high stakes robbery, the movie is not afraid to stray from the beaten path of cliches. Sure there are romance tropes abound, and the movie isn't afraid to throw James's weight around either, but jokes are overall refreshing due in no small part to the excellent comedic timing. This movie may not be the most stimulating or intelligent movie, but it has a lot of fun and doesn't take itself too seriously. The robbery aspect is a big part of the movie however, so parents should be wary that there is a lot of talk of murdering Blart that goes unfulfilled, as well as slapstick violence when Blart takes down an enemy. Aside from this, the movie shows many positive messages, among which are self-respect and anti-drinking, that are disguised within an enjoyable family comedy.
