Persuasion (2022)

If you forget it's based on an Austen novel you can enjoy it for what it is.

Loved this movie. I don’t know what people are complaining about. Dakota Johnson is absolutely engaging. While it isn’t the same as the beautiful Sally Hawkins / Rupert Penry Jones version I found it great. The cinematography and music are world class. Richard E Grant’s Sir Walter and Nikki Amuka - Bird’s Lady Russell were stand outs. I would have liked Henry Goldings Mr Elliott to be the real villain he should have been but what’s not to like about him. Will become one of those movies I watch every year.
