Kid reviews for Pinocchio: A True Story

The film was SO BAD!! 😡😡 All the characters are either white or animals! What about other skin colors? Are you trying to tell everyone that black characters don’t matter because that sounds pretty d*mn racist to me, coming from someone of color! The animation was so bad, like did you seriously just slap a wooden texture on some generic boy and call it savvy?! That is even WORST!! Plus, the characters either have very little or too much lighting. For example, Bella’s hair was so flowy and had too much lighting to a point where it seemed like she didn’t even fit in any of the scenes while Pinocchio was a little too dark and didn’t blend in too good with the moment. Plus, the lip syncing was SO OFF!! >:( The voice acting was so DEAD!! Like, Pinocchio sounded like he had better things to do and that goes for the other characters. They all sounded pretty emotionless and didn’t really catch on with the scenes of the film. But I feel so bad for the actors in the movie because they tried their best and the film turned out very bad and I don’t blame them for wasting their time on a film that was so BAD!! So overall, I would not recommend any parents to let their kids watch their racist and terribly put-together film! 😡😡😡 Good day.

this is literally the best animated film I have ever seen really don't understand why Encanto won an Oscar and not Pinocchio like why , The best quote of the whole movie was " Father when can leave to be on my ooown I got the whole world to see " Very inspiring must see the best movie

Overall, this movie has an extremely good sense of comedy. At the beginning, the part when Gepetto was about to call Pinocchio Leonardo but realized that he "Turned out to be a selfish actor" and "grew up to be a turtle who only loves pizza" was just hilarious and the refrence was really clever and intelligent. The choice of actors was perfect, Pauly Shore was just the real star of the film, his voice went perfectly with Pinocchio. The part where a drop of tear from Bella brought Pinocchio back to life and turned him into a real boy was emotional and almost brought me to tears. The most clever part of the movie is that they called the cat "cat" and the fox "fox". True sense of humour and comedy right there. Just like the trailer said, "the timeless story", "We thought we knew", "with no strings attached". This is one of the only trailers with no lies that you will find on the web.

This movie is trash and creepy! This is a rip-off to the Disney movie. It’s so trash and Rob Schindler as Pinocchio is terrible acting. Please read the book and watch the classic Disney movie instead of this low-budget cheap copy.

I liked the movie's plot and how they brought a twist to the original Pinocchio story. But the voice casting and animation aren't all that well. The mouth movement doesn't go along with the dialogue. And the animation, well, it looks 2012-ish. These small animation companies need to look more at how 2020 films are made. Look at Encanto, or the Bad Guys. The Russian animated film "The Snow Queen" was very successful international, but Pinocchio: A true story has to work more.

The lip syncing is way off and it looks like a dubbed anime. Pinocchio is fruitier than me (which shouldn't be possible) and the animation is extremely horrible. I do not recommend anyone watching this and giving money to Lionsgate.
