Avast ye, Mateys! Do ye be searching for a good movie, for ye be dangerously close to one!

This is a great movie. It has a intriguing plot and great characters. The animation is done very well, and they do everything in a realistic way. The movie is wonderful and focuses on adventure, history and Pirates! There is one part where one of the villains falls in to the water and pops up yelling and swearing. You can't clearly make out what he is saying, but he takes the Lord's Holy Name in vain. It also has funny parts like were Jim tells one of the villains he's going to kill his dog. That may not sound funny but in the movie it is. Jim does not kill the dog and never intended to. It connects to a lesson Jim learned earlier in the story. Over all this movie is wonderfully done and after you watch it all you will be able to think about is pirates, and "why didn't they make a sequel?"

It's an incredibly fantastic movie. it's an adaptation of the book Pirate's passage (2006) and is different from the "argh, ye shall walk the plank!" type of stereotypes. it shows that some pirates are good and some are much more dangerous, and live on land instead of the Seas. but, for young children, be wary: is has slight swearing ("bastard") and slight violence in the scenes of fighting, though no main character is hurt. Other then that, it has fantastic role models and messages.
