THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!
This is probably the BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. I love it. I watched it with my dad and we laughed so hard. It does have a lot of swearing and adult humor but other than that it isn’t bad for kids. I’d say its best for mature pre-teens. Like 11, 12,13 and up. It’s such a good movie and if you get a chance to watch it I highly recommend it.

I think it is great
I think it's a great movie, especially for watching with your family, of course, there still are some mature references but overall it's a great movie.

This movie was awesome!
This movie was great and the characters were really funny. My favourite character was Del.
However, there is some swearing in this movie, such as the F-word being used 19 times in one scene. There is also uses of “sh*t”, “id*ot”, “g*dd*mn”, “ass”, “d*mn”, “h*ll”, “b*tch”, “t*sticles”, “b*lls” and “for Ch*ist’s sake”.
Also, John Candy’s character, Del, smokes and drinks a lot.
One scene has very brief nudity.
My rating is 15+ for strong language, sexual references and smoking.

Great Funny Movie
This is a great movie with good humor. If you take out the large amount of swearing, it is pretty appropriate.

Hilarious Comedy for Teens...
Neal Page is trying to get home for Thanksgiving, but when his plane gets delayed and rerouted he must find another way to get home before Thanksgiving dinner. This movie is a must watch for teens and adults. It is absolutely hilarious. There is only one scene that makes it an R rated movie, and it only has a lot of swearing. There are no sex scenes in this movie, but there is one make out scene on a bus. This movie is great for adults and most teens 13 or 14+. I recommend Planes, Trains, and Automobiles if you like comedy movies, road/travel movies, or any other fun type of movie!

Hilarious, Emotional Movie has Profanity
This movie is amazing. It’s fine for plenty 11 year olds and most 12 year olds. It is only R because in a scene Steve Martin’s character says f—k many times. If you don’t want your kid to see that, just fast forward. Some mild sex stuff, nothing to bad.

Heartfelt and Meaningful Thanksgiving movie is a very tame R
A Chicago advertising man must struggle to travel home from New York for Thanksgiving, with a lovable oaf of a shower curtain ring salesman as his only companion. In New York the marketing executive Neal Page wants to travel home to Chicago for Thanksgiving. He has difficulties getting a taxi and his flight is cancelled. He meets in the airport the clumsy and talkative shower curtain ring salesman Del Griffith who has taken his cab and they travel side-by-side to Chicago. However the bad weather shuts down O'Hare Airport and they land at Wichita, Kansas. They both want to go to Chicago and they decide to travel together. Along their journey Neal changes his viewpoint about Del Griffith and his own behavior.

Only rated R for one scene with swearing
This is a really funny movie to watch around the holidays; it’s about a man who needs to travel back home quickly to see his family in time for Thanksgiving. Along the way, he meets this other guy and they get into lots of trouble together, and their chemistry is hilarious. This movie is rated R only because of one scene where the main guy says the F word about 18-19 times in just one minute. Other than that, the language isn’t too bad, the rest includes a few uses of s**t and other milder profanities. There’s also surprisingly not that much sexual content, which includes a couple aggressively making out on a bus, briefly shown photos of fully naked women with visible buttocks, and a reference to testicles. The violence is all comical and cartoonish. Overall, this a good funny holiday movie for ages 13 and up, but I think kids younger than 13 can watch this if the one scene with all the F-words is skipped. If not, then I’d say 13+
BTW I’m actually 15 not 14, but since you can’t select your exact birth date here on Common Sense Media, they haven’t updated my age yet.
