Excellent indie dramedy is thought provoking and engaging.

I loved this movie. I was captivated from start to finish by the engaging plot and the excellent performances and palpable chemistry from real life couple Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan. The screenplay is very intelligently and wonderfully written - kudos to Kazan - and really drew me in. As far for inappropriateness, I thought it could have easily been rated PG-13, but most likely wasn't because of the several uses of f**k and s**t. The language was strong but not overused. It's implied several times a couple is sexually involved. There were a few sexual references but they were fairly innocent and not too cringe-inducing. I really loved this movie and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.

"you've written a girl"

absolutely heartbreaking, enchanting, breath-taking, and beautiful film. ruby sparks captures the difficulties of trying to control someone to maintain the "perfect" relationship. this is not your typical love story.

She's Out of His Mind

Ruby Sparks features excellent writing and directing with a great performance by Zoe Kazan. Is thought-provoking but believe it or not, Paul Dano is my real problem with the film. Has some light sexual content and dialogue, infrequent heavy language, and some mild drinking, drug use, and smoking. Nothing too bad and it good for a mature twelve year old and up. A-.
