Decent sequel is a bit more kid-friendly than the first.

Okay, so, Scream 2. What is there to say? Pretty much everything that got dialed up to 11 in the first one is turned down to around the "6" level. SEX: 2/5. Unlike the first one, there is no sex, but some brief mild sex talk near the beginning. VIOLENCE: 3/5. Violence is shown more frequently than in the first one, although the violence isn't as bad, the blood is very unrealistic and is more slashes than stabs, but do expect some bloody content, although it is not very strong. SWEARING: 5/5. This is a common theme in all six of the scream films, with every single swear word except for the n word being said lots of times throughout, although if kids know not to say the words, they should be fine. Overall, I'd give the movie a 3/5, and kids ages 12 and up should be able to handle it.

A toned down sequel to a timeless classic

A great sequel to a great film. This film continues the story of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox), as well as the other survivors of the Woodsboro massacre of the last movie as they must face another killer on a college campus. When it comes to violence, this movie has slightly more blood. A very brutal stabbing occurs, but the blood is not very realistic. Throat slitting, shooting, and other violent acts happen throughout. As for s*xual content, they still talk about it but it is toned down a lot. 2 cops are also jokingly said to be gay. There is a lot of cursing, but nothing crazy. (The words include D, S, F, B, and more). There is a lot of drinking, but the characters are over 18. (I believe the law was 18+ when this was filmed). Overall, this a great film for kids (and teens) who can handle blood and gore. It's up to the parents to decide what's right, but I think 13 - 14 would be an okay age. (If they've seen the first one obviously).

liked it but defo no where near as good as the first. close to no gore- stabbings and shootings (alot more frequently than the 1st) but thats pretty much it. I can’t really remember how much sex sort of things there is so there’s probably not much, and mild language, but characters swear alot. I wouldn’t recommend on its own but if you’re into the scream franchise then you should watch it, but imho its not as good as the 1st (and the ones later on are amazing aswell).

Excellent sequel that is on the exact same level as the first.

Horror sequel has violence.

The film contains horror violence, including stabbings, shootings, characters coughing up blood, bleeding wounds, and a man's head impaled with rebar as the result of a car crash. There is also language, including use of "fuck", "shit" and "bitch". Overall: 11+ for horror violence/gore and language.

AMAZING

this is the third best of all the scream movies in my opinion! its of course violent, funny and a bit sad with the death of some people including one of our beloved characters SPOILERS most of it would be ok for anyone 13 or older but maybe a bit younger if your child is fine with violence. there is a LOT of swearing which honestly should be fine if younger viewers dont learn from it or at least know time and place. there is mentions of sex but no on actually is shown having sex. man is stabbed through head, woman is stabbed in stomach and multiple times in back and stomach, girl is stabbed and thrown of balcony, man is stabbed in van multiple times, ghosface and car accident kills two more, then another from stabbing. then shooting and stabbing again. still an amazing movie!
