There isn't anything truly objectionable in spaceballs, though half the humor will fly right over most kids heads.

Its PG because its an 80's movie
Great movie, I'm almost thirteen and I watched it with my friends (all between ages 9 and 11) and four adults.
The adults were the ones who pretty much forced the other kids to watch it. Sure, there is plenty of sexual humor and cursing, but a decent amount of children know not to repeat strong language heard from movies.
It is rated PG by 80's standards. Movie ratings were less strict when y'all were younger. Now your average kids movie is PG-13.
Its a great satire and you should watch it if your kids watched the original three star wars movies.

Very dumb parody is slightly offensive to the beloved saga; very few laughs
Suggested MPAA Rating: PG-13 for comic violence, language, sexual content, and crude humor

Fun parody
Some dirty language but not a ton. Also if the kids or you have not seen the original Star Wars trilogy they or you may not get the humor at all.

watch and go HAHAHA!
Spaceballs includes some strong language and mild violence, but for laughs.
But it's OK if parents let thier kids watch it.

Excellent movie, but should've been rated R
This movie, while absolutely brilliant, is not for kids. There are plenty of innuendos. The Schwartz, for example, comes from their testicles. This is obviously a parody of Star Wars, but a very good one. Some language.
