my thoughts...

It's a twisted comedy about TV addiction. Teens should be OK watching it.

Funny movie but the acting was eh.

The acting was great for Jim, but the main character (forgot his name) was kinda effy. Also the acting of the other people kinda sucked too. The show has a few sexual references but wasn’t too graphic. Love the comedy in this show omg! It’s so hilarious, got me giggling through the whole show. Thr twists and turns you find out really making the film so unique. Definitely a movie to watch during the night with your friends and family.

A GREAT MOVIE with some edgy messages

I am on a mission, to watch 300 movies this year. This is the 2nd of many and, it was another great one! Jim Carey's top three movies are this, bruce almighty, and liar liar! it is kind of twisted, as the meaning behind it is a person raised by the tv is now a cable guy and becomes a staler of a man who called him to come fix his cable tv. it has some sexual humor too, ass mid movie they play a game called "po*no password" and the cable guy secretly pays a ho*ker too have s*x with the main character. and need the end the cable guy decides to try and commit sue*cide by jumping of a big steel platform, 150 feet (or so) doen onto a spike (he docent die as he misses the spike, he just breaks his back) this movie is funny, twisted, creepy, and kind sad actually. i recommend a watch!

One of the FUNNIEST movie I’ve ever seen!

This movie is so funny, I mean it’s JIM CARREY! Language - for language I would give it a 6 out it 10. Sex/Nudity - it doesn’t show anything, but there are a few inappropriate scenes. And I mean really inappropriate. One scene they are a playing a game, and the game is very inappropriate with what they say. And there is another scene that is very funny but inappropriate. For sure Watch it. It’s the best!

Twisted Story about a cable guy obsessed with another.

Super twisted and creepy story about a cable guy is has some twisted violence including When chip knocks down Matthew Broderick’s characters door, some punching in fightin when chip knocks down Matthew Broderick‘s characters door, some punching and fighting, also a comic jousting match. There’s quite a bit of sexual themes to including a Scene with a prostitute, Kissing, chips says many words related to genitalia like breast, vagina and chip calls a penis a little thing. Plus a bit of swearing like son of a b-tch, s-t, damn and hell.

The Cable Guy

It's an OK movie. CSM said 0:5 for sex, which isn't accurate. A man hires a prostitute. Then they play this password game where the main character (Chip, but that's not his real name, spoiler alert) chooses words like n*pple and v*gina. Then the other character has to explain that to his mom. There is swearing, but not too bad. The main character attempts suicide at the end, and kidnaps a woman.

Pretty good, not great

Aside from some sexual innuendos, it should be fine for anyone 12+. The movie was pretty funny, but not very memorable.

Ben Stiller Directed Tense Psychopathic Stalker Thriller

Carrey comedy mixed with thriller teaches friendship and the effects of television. A good, meaningful, lesson teaching yet unfunny movie.

Dark Comedy Makes You Never Want to watch TV Again

Okay, first of all, this movie doesn't have a lot of content, I only say 12-13 and up because of the dark nature of the movie, which is basically about a cable guy (Jim Carrey) who is desperate for friends and when Matthew Broderick's character hangs out with him, he starts to stalk him down and mess with his life looking for favors in return, basically blackmail. The reason why you need to wait to see this movie is because of the deeper message in it about the cable guy as a kid being neglected by his parents, who let their TV be the babysitter, which is what screwed him up and made him insane. So far as content, Matthew Broderick has an intimate moment with a prostitute, not knowing that she's even a prostitute until the cable guy tells him he paid all of the women at the karaoke party, and Broderick gets mad. The cable guy says a few suggestive things that are jokes. Some very mild language, not a big issue. Basically, a great movie with a dark message, 12-13+for the dark theme of the movie and some sexual content.
