Inspiring film about dogs and love
This film is an amazing work of art. I would recommend it to any animal advocate! It's a story of hope and love that shows that, yes, abused animals, including fighting dogs, can go on to be wonderful family pets, and that pit bulls can be, and are, loving family pets, just like any other dog. I would not, however, show it to very young kids, since the subject matter is mature, with many discussions about dog fighting and breed-specific legislation, a complex, discriminatory law that affects certain breeds and their owners, on the untrue basis that the dogs are aggressive and their owners are criminals. Also, there is a muffled curse word used in the film, but it is barely heard. So, to sum up, an amazing, highly recommended film, but maybe not for some young kids.
