Not family friendly.

Not just a Halloween movie, filled with curse words from adults and children, the complete lack of respect from the daughter is full on out there. It has scenes of demonic activity with board games and chanting, Talks of devil worship and has satanic signs and symbols throughout the movie. I tried to find something good about this movie, but it's trash. o, and let's not forget the whole "white privilege" remark at the start of the movie. uncalled for.

Much darker than the trailer suggests.

If you're into ouija boards, séances and demonic possession then this could be right up your street, but it wasn't up mine and I switched it off. It's all packaged nicely in an all-American Halloween setting, but I didn't find it to be the wholesome famil fun I was hoping for; see my reasons above.

Fun, funny Halloween comedy, offers Goosebumps and frights.

Parents need to know that THE CURSE OF BRIDGE HOLLOW is a family, Halloween comedy with lots of fun and scares. The movie is family friendly but the scares can sometimes be scary -- for even older kids (age 8-9). So expect Halloween decorations being possessed and coming to life like skeletons, demons, witches, etc. The clowns that come to life are quite scary so if your scared of this stuff you might get goose bumps. There's also a scene where a 9 foot tarantula attempts to attack Sydney and her dad. However no one dies, or gets seriously injured - - the only scene I wouldn't recommend for kids under 11 or 12 is the tarantula scene and maybe (for the sensitive ones) the clown scene. But overall, this movie is filled with humour, love, horror and heart!

So Boring

This movie was painful and also not what I would call family-friendly. The kids themselves were cursing like crazy (all the words are listed on this website to see, which I should have looked at ahead of time). It was just so off in so many ways — the plot, the acting, the cursing. The trailer made it look cooler than it was. I would not recommend.

Great Halloween family movie. Nothing original, just a fun movie.

A fun, though not really bright movie about Halloween madness in a small town. Some people might be bothered by a glass of wine or a bottle of beer some of the characters have, others might dislike the idea of a school director being a funny collector of Satanistic attributes, wearing a red horned costume, but that's nearly all of a dubious moments I can recall. Americans will be bothered by a couple of jokes on white supremacy/African -americans, but we have no problem with that in Europe. A nice theme of a growing up daughter/father relationship-conflict is good.

Decent family/horror/comedy (not for young kids)

A little more intense than I was expecting for a family/horror/comedy but my wife and I enjoyed it. Good effects, decent acting, may not be the best for young children.

Great family movie!

My family and loved the movie. We have watched twice and enjoyed both times. It does have more language than I would have liked

Good family Halloween movie, not for sensitive younger children.

Fabulous spooky Halloween movie. From watching the trailer, I was a little hesitant to allow my almost 8 year old to watch this along with my 11 year old. The trailer shows very scary looking clowns coming to life and attacking the movie characters. However I chose to allow my youngest to watch this and intended to cover his eyes at parts that were too frightening. This was not required. While certain parts where definitely a little scary, they were short lived. There is quite a bit of choice language ‘sh*t’ ‘hell’ and even a ‘b*stard’ at one point which took me by surprise. Though that aside both my children thoroughly enjoyed it. My youngest is already asking for a sequel! Good family Halloween movie.
