Really good, better than the first.

Ima keep this short and simple. No f bombs, minimal uses of the S word, a little more blood and gore in this one than the first. The worst of the violence is heads get exploded, a sad death of someone getting a knife kicked into their heart, and a brutal fight scene which ends up with a guy getting stabbed and twisted blade in the stomach. A high body count throughout, usually just blood splatters and occasional lingering gory deaths. If you watched the first one, you can def handle this one. Since it’s a newer movie, the blood and gore effects might be a little more realistic. The plot is amazing and way better than the first one. This is definitely the best out of the three and it’s not a waste of time.

Knows what it is, luckily

The problem with the first movie was it took itself too seriously. This one knew what it was - a fun, violent romp of massacring bad guys. Even though it is silly, it is surprisingly good and emotional at points. However, it still is very bloody. It’s not too extreme, and with a couple of exceptions, it’s mostly just blood spurts after being shot. The body count is very high. If you’ve seen most of the classic eighties action movies, like Rambo, terminator, or Die Hard, you should definitely watch this.

I actually thought it was good, but still “kinda” cheesy. Fairly violent.

Do I have to explain it, Arnold fighting alongside Stallone and Willis? Wow. Just pure popcorn pleasure. This is your movie if you like action, Arnie and some violence. Violence: Some dismemberment, blood, etc, but can be hard to see. Shootouts and some hand-to-hand scenes that do include some slightly more graphic violence, in one case toward the end. You’ll now what’s gonna happen as soon as you see the environment. Language: infrequent profanity, in the theatrical I’m pretty sure there are no F bombs, though there may be one. Sexuality: NON EXISTENT WOo-Hoo Consumption: social drinking Extra: not really anything else, just language and some infrequent language. Is you like action Yippe-Kiee-Aye over there and watch it, you won’t ( or may ) regret it.

A Bigger Cast With Even More Action!

Taut, violent, and suitably self-deprecating, The Expendables 2 gives classic action fans everything they can reasonably expect from a star-studded shoot-'em-up -- for better and for worse.

Even Higher Octane!

Suggested Rating: R for Strong Graphic Violence Throughout

I thought this movie was good because it had strong bloody violence throughout and I think it would be good for your little one who is 5 and up because really who gives a crap about violence. Little kids do more violent things than in this movie so I think this would be a great movie for them. This movie is not allowed for adults because it may contain to much violence for them and they might get sick to their stomach. So this movie is for age 5 through 17 years only.

Noisy, cliché-cluttered stereotypical action movie hosts laughable characters and unrealistically glamorizes battle; for fans of the first only

To be honest, The Expendables 2 isn't very good. It takes the simplistic, superficial frame of the dumb box office hit action movie stereotype. Its characters and screenwriting are laughable and it glamorizes battle in a somewhat entertaining but extremely unrealistic fashion. Viewers will see spraying blood and cigar smoking and will hear a couple of S-Words, but other than that The Expendables 2 is fine for tweens. In fact, The Expendables 2 probably could've gotten away with a strong PG-13. Don't bother unless you liked the first movie.
