Good, fun film with great chemistry from Seth Rogen and Jay Chou.

i personally thought The Green Hornet wasn't that all bad. Seth Rogen , Jay Chou and Christopher Waltz were fine. Cameron Diaz, however was wasted in this film. The action was cool. James Franco's cameo was funny.

perfect for teens

I love this movie!!!! I totally recommend it. It was fun, humorous, and thrilling. Although, I have some concerns of inappropriate activity there are multiple violent scenes such as intense car chases, partially brutal gun play, and multiple fist fights. There is some sexuality that includes a scene of implied sex, and a party scene showing women suggestively dancing while scantily clad. Lots of language including one f bomb, several uses of sh*t, a*s, b*tch,d*mn and h*ll. A few anatomical terms such as d**k,p***y and b*lls. Lots of alcohol use, a scene of cigar smoking, and references to drugs. Overall, really good movie.

At Least It's Hilarious!

This is NOT a great movie. at most it is just o.k, the story is stupid. but the thing is, it makes fun of itself, and it's greatest aspect is the comedy. some parts of this movie, i was literally laughing myself to tears! For the rating, the was a lot of swearing for a PG-13 movie, such as b--ch, sh-t, a-s, d-mn, h-ll, and one use of f-ck. sex is quite a bit, o actual sex seen on the screen, but at the beginning there is a party, a women is shown sleeping on a couch after the party, lots of flirting, and comments about women's sexual appeal. and some scenes with some women in a pool wearing bikinis, some drinking as well, including one scene at a bar, and some people get drunk at a party. violence isn't an issue, it is all cartoony stuff. nothing pre-teens can't handle. critically, the movie's one and only strength is the comedy, but the good thing is it doesn't try to be anything else, over all it gets a - (7.3/10.)

Comedy, not action. Lots of swearing, especially s---.

It has a lot of the s-word. Don't show to young kids. Right amount of action.

Quite clumsy about the situation

Britt and Kato looks like 2 gangs that felt like they're always in trouble because they act like the hornet and there's a never ending on the search of them 2.One star was gone by the never ending on the polices search on the two characters. But they look crazy on most scenes and I mark it 4-stars.

Comedic superhero flick, is overly childish but really funny.

This comedy is not flawless but really funny, CSM may say it's "overly childish," but that's why it's so funny. I love the chemistry between Seth Rogen and Jay Chou, although I favored Bruce Lee over him in the old television show. There is lots of profanity for a PG-13 flick, the strongest words include variations of s--t (horses--t, bulls--t) said nearly 40 times, plus "p---y," "d--k," and maybe an f-word mixed in there somewhere. "The Green Hornet" supports fornication (extramarital sex), which may concern parental viewers, who who wouldn't want their children exposed to this. Britt (The Green Hornet) and Kato are both obviously attracted to the female assistant (portrayed by the beautiful Cameron Diaz), and each go on dates with her (each unsuccessful). It is not until the end that they find that they are both dating the same woman. Britt asks her out to a Chinese restuarant where you eat in the dark, saying every bite is like "an orgasm in your mouth." Plus some woman are dressed provacativley at a party thrown by Britt, where he is shown slapping their butts and dancing with them. There are references to a a crystal meth and drug lab. Britt attempts to mix a drink of Vodka and Red Bull. The death of a supporting character is downplayed by comedic overtones, and, although the violence is bloodless, there is a high body count. The violence in "The Green Hornet" is a mix breed of comic book style violence mainly exhibited in superhero movies and mixed martial-arts action sequences, which include lots go large-scale destruction gunfire, car chases, chases on foot, explosions, hand-to-hand fighting including punching and kicking, intact their is an extended sequence where Britt (The Green Hornet) and Kato have a huge fight at Britt's house. Overall, "The Green Hornet" is insensitive to emotionally heavy topics including death and betrayal, laughing it off and moving on, it has lots of language, sexual content is only through references, nothing risqué is seen at all.

Horrible

Horrible movie, the humor is dry and stupid and not even funny, there's swearing like crazy in it. Seriously, every 2 seconds they say a** or s***. There's at least 30 bad words in it, no kidding. The action sequences are okay and actually quite entertaining, and the special effects are great, but sadly, great action scenes and great special effects aren't what make a movie good. The plot is bad, the character Britt is SO stupid. Kato is okay, and a fairly good character, but I hate the love triangle, Lenore / \ / \ Britt Kato It just makes the movie stupider and more worthless. Just to let you know unless all you like is great action scenes and worthless romance, don't even bother getting this movie. PERIOD.

It was stupid.

I was very excited for this movie, but it was an utter disapointment. It's supposed to be a superhero movie, but really it's really just about two drunk guys who decide to become superheroes for fun (the main guy has no life, and is no role model at oall). There is much sexual talk and swearing (the worst of it being one use of the f-bomb). This movie is nothing like the old show with Bruce Lee. It's horrible. It wasn't even well-written, and it didn't even have an interesting storyline. Only watch this movie if you plan on wasting an hour of your life.

this move was......how do I describe it?.... ....

this movie was worse than I thought it was gonna be! It has a dull plot a not very well thought out story and is overall just dry and boring. There were about 3 good parts but the rest just wasn't worth the time. I also thought the violence was kinda high for a PG-13.

Entertaining buddy movie mixes comedy and action. Teens and up.

"The Green Hornet" is an action comedy/buddy movie starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz. While the movie is not a serious superhero movie like "The Dark Knight", it is really entertaining. Going a think line between action and comedy, it is one of the fewer mainstream flicks that is really diverting, without trying to be something great. It is exactly what you can call original, but also it is not dumb or boring. I is perfect fpr just having fun when watching a movie. The movie has some action violence, mostly combat fights, chase scenes, etc. The most violent scene is when a man has his eyes impaled by wooden sticks (it is brief and action-ish, and not as strong as it sounds - the PG-13 is perfect). There are several crude jokes and huge amounts of PG-13 language. Suitable for teens and up.

The Green Hornet

This movie was very good. The movie however has some bad language. Also there is drinking and a few brand names such as red bull. Overall it is a good movie except for those minor details.

A very fun movie, but know your kid!

Oh boy... This is a crazy one. The Green Hornet is a movie that in every legal aspect, stays within the PG-13 rating... but just barely. This is a movie that I honestly do not think should have been marketed to kids. CommonSenseMedia is right in saying that this is more of a "bromance" than an inspiring superhero movie. For those who enjoy the 80's, think of it as Bill and Ted meets Batman, cus that is pretty much all it is, minus the sense of compassion and duty. These two drink hard, fight hard, and womanize like teenagers (Kato a little less than Britt). Well, let's get down to it. LANGUAGE: Just barely stays within the PG-13 limit, one F***, LOTS of uses of S***, plus Pu*** once, and a whole lot more of the lesser words. Britt and Kato call Britt's father a D**K after his dad dies, though Britt gains respect for his dead dad later in the film. VIOLENCE: Once again, just barely staying in the PG-13 rating. People are shot and killed many, many times (By Britt, Kato, and the bad guys). There are also scenes of people being crushed by large objects, elevator, car, etc... In addition to one scene of a person getting stabbed in both eyes by sticks of wood. All of this is shown onscreen, and the last two deaths in the film look like something out of The Expendables. SEXUAL CONTENT: Mostly in the first 1st third of the movie, nothing explicit shown (miraculously!), but lot's of Britt making out with different women, and scenes of women dressed provacatively at a party (Britt makes out with most of them too). I did enjoy the fact that Cameron Diaz's character didn't end up falling in love with either of the male leads, though both of them were in love with, and fought over, her. There is a pretty good message about ethical truth in the news. SUMMARY: Know your kid. If he or she is more likely to absorb the bad messages and ignore the good, then by all means do not let them see it, because if YOU think that they'll be influenced, then with this movie, they definetely will. On the other hand, if you trust your child's judgement when it comes to stuff like this, then definetely give it a shot. This is a very fun movie, and me and my parents both loved it. WARNING: If you are a coffee addict, then Kato's Coffee Machine WILL make you drool! :)

Surprisingly funny and entertaining, but also has some very powerful action

As an early surprise to the year of 2011, I quiet enjoy the Green Hornet when I originally saw it on January 14, 2011, and I have also enjoyed it several times after that viewing. Underated and much funnier than many people are saying, I think that the Green Hornet was much better than it had any right to be. But, with the obvious suggestive content when you look who is one of the main characters in the movie, you can instantly realize that this is not a entirely child friendly movie, with lot'sof stylized and occasioonally very brtual violence, soome drug references to a meth lab and countless drug dealers, plenty of crude language andsome equally crude sexual humor that add to the mix. Still, if you are immature enough for this (like I am), than they will still get a kick out of it.

Just a fun movie.

The Green Hornet is decently entertaining. However, there aren't many positive messages or role models. It's just pure action fun, which can be good sometimes. Some of the violence is slightly over the top, and there are some sexual references and scenes. Overall, a decent movie that is just pure fun.
