The First Talkie

The Jazz Singer is the first ever movie to include sound, although sound is not used for the whole picture it's influence on modern day film is undeniable. The Jazz Singer is a great movie and although it is rather outdated (blackface) it is still enjoyable to watch today, and apart from the blackface there is no reason why someone should not let their child watch this. It is a great film and is often judged for being racist, however this is only two scenes and not the main theme of the film, although it will offend some.
