I LOVE IT!

The movie was amazing! There was a woman with no shirt, so you can see that they are like a family. Also, it shows that A WOMAN CAN BE ON THE BOAT WITHOUT BEING SEXUALLY HARASSED. It's infuriating to see families letting kids watch horror movies, yet cringing at a comfortable woman. You suck if you think that. Bye!

Main Reviewer:

How is a "sex" point added just because a character is bisexual. If you can't deal with your kids witnessing such horrors of the modern world, than maybe you shouldn't be allowed to choose your your opinion as the best choice for anything. I'm not one ti discount anyone else's views of the world, but I can sure as hell disagree.

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou

I was entertained during this movie especially the action sequences. It was a little too long but I could get over that. I recommend this movie.

Quirky and entertaining

Wes Anderson is a pretty weird guy, and this film is definitely weird as well. There are some clever mixes of stop-motion and live-action, and the main character is definitely not your typical Joseph Campbell Hero's Journey kind of thing. Steve Zissou wants to bond with his son, get revenge on and endangered species of shark, and hits on women too young for him. He's an experienced oceanographer, but he's getting old. This movie has some tragic and funny moments, as well as brief nudity, but it's nothing an 11 year old can't handle. Sex: a few brief shots of the same character's breasts, completely non-sexual. conversations about affairs, pregnancy, and an awkward sex scene with no nudity. Violence: a few shootouts with pirates, showing a few gun-shot wounds but nothing too gory. Language: Relatively frequent f words and other swearing Consumerism: none drinking: none Overall, it's a quirky dramedy with a main character who is flawed but in a realistic way. But honestly, it all depends on maturity

Not his best but still entertaining

Pretty good movie critics are just kinda wrong about this one. This movie only has like 2 brief non sexual shots of nudity so its not that bad. I guess it has some violence but not a lot. Also the movie is super beautiful which is fun. There is also some really good acting. I see some other people say it has way too much swearing but like c'mon once you've heard these words once does it really matter if you hear them 10 times in some other movie???? and also there is not a ton of swearing in this movie.

Fun and quirky for older tweens

This is a very quirky and fun film with some adult stuff. I watched this last year when i was nine I watched this with my mom and I watched friend and nothing in it came to me as mature except for some nudity but I've seen a lot of thing's soo... but I bet other kids may think so. There is lots of language and some violence but also it is kind of emotional witch seems hard to master and is all in all way better than they say on Rotten Tomatoes.
