Deep, stressful and hurtful, best for adults

A good thing to show how inmates are treated and be aware of others' journeys and how they survived. A bit swearing but no clear sex scenes, some blurry ones but it's clear it's abuse.

HORRIFIC TRUTHS

This movie is disturbing on many levels. I think we know this type of treatment of prisoners has been happening since the beginning of time - however the existence of an installation like Gitmo by the most civilized nation in the world is sickening!

Guantanamo Diary story

Not for children. Torture, bad faith government, no rule of law. Guantanamo detainee Proven innocent but jailed 14 years w/o charges. Legal battle to get him free.

Message in this for Americans

There is a line from this movie that sums up everything: "the word in Arabic for 'free' and 'forgiveness' is the same". This movie accurately tells the story of one man's perseverance and how we as a nation strive for justice - and sometimes give complete injustice in the process. If you like for a movie to make you think and examine this is for you.
