I absolutely adore Jerry Lewis and this movie is no exception. There is some sexual remarks and some drinking and smoking but this was a 60s movie so it wasn't uncommon. The scene where Julius turns into Buddy Love may be a bit scary for younger kids. But this is a TIMELESS classic.

Very Funny!!

Jerry Lewis was the funniest man alive! this movie is really funny. a lot of sexual references but nothing too much. there is a lot of drinking in a nightclub. this movie is really funny for the whole family to enjoy. kids should be accompanied by an adult

True, I was afraid of the transformation scene when I'd watch it originally as well, but I was up to a second viewing and we just skipped those scenes. Jerry Lewis was one of my all-time favorite actors when I was little. Lots of drinking and smoking, which of course wasn't uncommon for old movies.

A very good movie, but I wouldn't recommend it for younger children. The part where the professor turns into Buddy Love for the first time might frighten them.
