Some profanity (including a song that contains the f word). Otherwise great movie!

This is a very funny movie. For those of you that don’t know, The Wedding Singer is ‘90s comedy film that takes place in the ‘80s, about a Wedding Singer named Robbie Hart that got abandoned at the alter at his own Wedding. There is some comedic violence, such as the part where he got shoved and fell into a table. Some sexual references, including an old woman briefly talking about having sex 8 different times before getting married. Also Adam Sandler plays devil’s advocate, playing on another man’s lustful desire to “sink his teeth into some ass”. One reference to “playing with your ding dong”. Julia (Drew Barrymore) becomes a friend to Robbie, but I don’t want to spoil anything about their relationship. As far as alcohol goes, this is some drinking, some characters are drunk and there are references to vomiting. Language, there is some uses of “s**t”, several uses of “ass” (including the grosser/more insulting variants such as “a**hole” and “a**wipe”.) A couple uses of “goddamn”, “bi**h”, “hell” as well. Robbie uses the f-word in a song about his ex. (This is the only time the word is said in the movie). Otherwise, I think it’s best to wait until teens are mature enough so they can truly see Sandler in his best role. ‘80s mullet and all. This is a really funny movie, even though he goes through a huge state of depression over his manipulative ex, who abandons him on their wedding day solely because he is a wedding singer. I’ve only seen it once, but it’s definitely one I would watch again!

NOT For kids, teens loved it, language and suggestive situations...

NOT FOR KIDS!! Teenagers loved it, some great laughs. However, some very off-color suggestive humor, and bad language...I would only let an older teen see this movie.

Sandler at his best for teens and up

Its a really funny movie and it's a great date movie for sure but as in the case with other Sandler vehicles it has plenty of things that are inappropriate. Profanity runs throughout. Mostly the s word, a word, b---h, even one f word, GD. The female leader's fiancee is very immoral and is seen cheating on his soon to be wife, however the movie does portray this in a negative light and he does pay for it in the end. There is a song sung by Sandler where he talks about wanting to commit suicide. While it has funny lines the underlying message could be disturbing to some. There are some sexual references discussions about getting laid, and "giving it to people", and yes there is a reference to the "mile-high club" during the airplane scene. Overall it is a funny movie and it has a very nice sweetness to it, but this one is best for the teens and up, the demographics Sandler's humor is best suited for.

Go Adam Sandler go!

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Movie was 1998 not 2004...

It's one of the better peak Adam Sandler movies and was followed up by Big Daddy. Waterboy made the most money but largely off the back of the two movies that preceded it.

Quite a bit of sexual references and language

great.

This is a great movie. The cursing is some uses of s*** and d***. One extreme f***. Some sexual innuendo and joking. Flirting is implied. There is comedic and humorous violence. Drug innuendo and little use is implied. There are very great movie themes.

A fun flick!

I am not a huge fan of Adam Sandler, but he rocked in this movie! I loved him & his character. He's charming and funny with a good heart. When Robbie Hart gets dumped on his wedding day by his first love, it leaves him heart broken. He becomes extremely depressed and thinks he's no good for anyone. When the beautiful and sweet Julia (Drew Barrymore) walks into his life, you can see that he's instantly attracted to her. Although she is engaged to very self-centered cheating yet wealthy man named Glen Gulia (who's last name makes it even more depressing for her) and they are about to get married, she asks Robbie to sing at her wedding. After spending a lot of time together as friends, they end up in love and Robbie eventually exposes Glen for his cheating. It's super funny and energetic. Great cast and the characters were so lovable - Robbie & Julia are the perfect couple! Some violence (fist fights mainly), Lots of sexual references but not over the top - kissing, Glen cheats on Julia with women in skimpy outfits, Glen talks about "getting" women behind Julia's back, a woman in just a t-shirt answers the door, some sexually related jokes). Bar scenes are shown often with drinking and drunk characters, a club scene with partially dressed women, smoking. Main thing to watch out for is the language which is almost R-rated including an "f" word in a song, but mainly jokes and teasing that are a little heavy! All in all, a sweet romantic comedy!!
