Christian Propoganda/Separation of Fact from Fiction
Quite frankly, this whole movie is over the top violent, dramaticized propaganda. I’ve grown up in a pro-life, religious environment, none of which is backed by science. The fetuses first off, are not people because they don’t have brains. The procedures look violent (like ANY medical procedure does) but the fetus can’t actually feel any pain until about 18 weeks (beyond the legal cutoff) so I understand where people would feel sad seeing something human-like in apparent “pain”, but the fetus has no brain or nervous system, and the scene where the fetus seems to try to escape the surgical abortion in utero is, in reality, unconscious reflexes in response to external stimuli. Kinda like if a doctor taps below your knee and your leg kicks involuntarily. Yes this was based off of truth, but Abby Johnson herself is kinda known to change her story up and she was raised into Christian faith, therefor her whole stance on it fact wise is questionable. Especially since the whole “horrific ultrasound”medical abortion she saw IRL was reportedly performed on a 6 week embryo, in which there wouldn’t be much to see....(I believe at 6 weeks it’s smaller than a blueberry and barely looks human.) Basically, don’t put all your faith into fiction and faith-based pro-life Arguments, read ACTUAL facts and statistics, talk to women and health care providers. Don’t waste your time indoctrinating people with this movie, or a Bible for that matter. 0 Stars, this movie made me even more Pro-Choice after seeing how ridiculous the ideas anti-choicers are trying to push on everybody.
