A movie to watch with your 10 year old - with joy!

Our 10 year old son is picky and a cartoon character movie isn't usually acceptable. He loved this. We watched to the end in one night at his insistence. It was appropriate, a bit scary (if younger or more sensitive) but all very appropriate. Positive messages. Positive diversity. No foul language or sexual context. Still it kept us both riveted. A perfect movie for the right age.

Halloween movie

Wendell and Wild Perfect halloween movie for the kids (and adults) The characters, and the setting all are gothic in their own way. It involves a 13 year old KK who lost her parents at 8 and got involved, without intending to, in some dark actions. She attempts to throw that part of her life into the deepest corner of her heart hoping that will end the guilt. But that's not how guilt works, does it? Something is eating her up within which reflects as her anger, her aloofness etc. Attracted by that darkness, at one dramatic point, she gets marked by the monsters to become their aid. How she fights them to find her way back , who helps her to own herself, to find the path for redemption - these form rest of the story. Am pretty sure anyone can relate to the dark secrets part, and if you have one, watch this to have a fun animated halloween movie- you never know, maybe you will find your way out too.
