The amount of diversity is great. It is the first stop motion animation to feature the main character as an African American and to have a Transgender kid.

This movie was really good! It never got boring and always kept you on you feet.

Lovin this representation!

This is a beautiful movie! The quality, the storyline, and the representation. If your kid can handle words like "hell" and "ass" this is great. A few scenes that you may need to explain to them like (spoilers) how her parents were trapped in the car when it sunk, but then don’t worry, they come back to life. Also I love that they address Raul! Like in the scene where his mom is on the phone, she corrects a co-worker about his gender identity, and when he’s at school and a kid accidentally deadnames him, that I can relate to.

I really like this movie, it has good representation (Trans, black, indigenous, disabled) and the plot is interesting i also really like the animation style (a mix of stop motion and animation) and music

Watch this movie!

I love this movie! It has diversity, with a Black teen girl as the lead, and a transgender Native character. Also has amazing plot, and the music? Stunning. I love the representation of the punk community. One of my favorite movies!

I loved it but wish it was better

For a Sellick and Peele comedy-horror I expected more, but, it's still enjoyable. The stop motion is outstanding and the characters are pretty good (Raúl especially - and also, besides being a great character he's a really cool trans rep) Watch this movie at least once for a good time even if you don't return to it.

Key & Peele, but animated from Henry Selick

I was just ever so slightly disappointed that this movie wasn't Coraline levels of good, but this is still pretty good. This movie is less PG-13 and more hard PG where a 10 year old could see this alone and be fine. The parts of this movie that soar are in the animation and visual aesthetic, complementary of writer/creator/director Henry Selick, and the parts that stumble are in it's writing where the emotion feels like it should be heavier, most likely a factor of co-writer Peele trying to stuff in as many of his own thematic elements as possible. The scenes between Key and Peele's demon title characters though are by far the best parts of the movie and the diverse selection of supporting characters actually hold up this movie's entertainment quite well. Maybe the more politically correct movie Selick has done, but one that's certainly enjoyable that animation lovers will like.

Super good movie, can be hard to follow. Has “satanic” material because it’s a halloween movie but it’s not super scary at all.
