What's the Story?
The show explores themes like growing, family, friendship, and music, and highlights social and emotional skills throughout. Host Tabitha Brown (an actress and social media influencer) draws on her expertise in cooking, storytelling, and motivational speaking in this preschool series. The series also features lots of celebrity guests, from The Good Place's Manny Jacinto to actress and singer Cynthia Erivo (Genius: Aretha).
Is It Any Good?
Tabitha Brown's warm and inviting personality comes through each segment of this preschool series. She meets the show's kids at their level, listens and learns with curiosity and kindness, solidifying herself as a highly effective role model for viewers to do the same. Segments with guests feel genuine and unscripted, and combined with the unpredictable places we visit in our "imagination," the show does succeed in capturing both children and parents' attention.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about things that grow. All living things grow... plants, animals, and people! What do plants need to grow? When was a time you felt like you were growing?
Which of Ms. Tab's friends do you like the best? Why? What did you learn from DJ Krafty, or Starla the Spatula?
Feelings are a big part of this show. Ms. Tab tells us that whatever you're feeling is the right feeling, because that's how you're feeling. Can you name what you're feeling? Do you ever feel more than one feeling at a time, like nervous and excited?
