What’s It About?
ELEANOR AMPLIFIED features a radio journalist who investigates the plans of mind-controlling scientists and rich CEOs. After she's framed by CEO Angela Brandt, Eleanor throws herself into proving the plans she's uncovered and facing evil in all its forms. Is It Any Good?
Dropping listeners right into the action of Eleanor's investigation, this podcast is full of peril and suspense and is an engaging lesson on integrity and how power is used. Eleanor Amplified shows a relatable hero in pursuit of the truth. The full cast of characters are played with humor that can be enjoyed by the whole family. While some jokes like a character named Led Zeplin might fly over some kids' heads, others rely a bit heavily on name-calling. The sound effects are immersive, highlighting both the suspense and the humor. Overall, the show relies on cliffhangers and wild twists to keep kids engaged, which may make it difficult for younger listeners who aren't as familiar with audio fiction to keep track of the plot. But the charming characters and high energy of the story keep listeners' attention even if a little lost in the plot.
Eleanor Amplified uses conflict and suspense to attract kids' interest while bringing up plenty of valuable lessons for families to discuss together. If families want to binge the show, The Road Trip Edition episodes each collect a full season into one easy-to-download episode. Parents and kids will find this show easy to listen to together, which gives them lots of opportunities to discuss what they learned.
