What's the Story?

56 DAYS is the amount of time that the romance between Ciara (Dove Cameron) and Oliver (Avan Jogia) lasts. After those eight weeks, a dead body is found that may be connected to the two lovers, but neither of them can be found.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say ( 1 ):

An old-fashioned erotic thriller has been a rare sight in recent years, as television has focused more on platonic love than sexual heat. 56 Days delivers on the tension between its two leads, Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, but also sets up enough questions to keep viewers constantly looking for clues. Many mystery series attempt to create suspense by withholding information, only to end up forgetting that actual drama needs to happen in each episode for the reveals to be worth the wait. 56 Days slow plays just about everything, letting questions linger indefinitely, but the central romance is so compelling that the tiny insights into the lovers' true motivations genuinely ratchet up the tension. This is a series that knows how to balance its eroticism and its suspense in equally satisfying ways.
