A Good Girl's Guide to Murder: Season 2
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In the small town of Little Kilton, a murder has been solved thanks to Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers), whose relentless sleuthing brought the victims Sal Singh and Andie Bell to justice. But there's still a trial to be had for rapist Max Hastings (Henry Ashton), who's currently free and tormenting Pip and her friends. And when Connor's gruff brother Jamie (Eden H. Davies), who's also a key witness in the trial, disappears, Pip is once again dragged in to a world of crime and cover-ups.
Is It Any Good?
The stakes are a little less intense, but it's no less enjoyable to see Pip back solving mysteries in this season. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Season 2, based on the second book in Holly Jackson's series, deftly shows Little Kilton's class issues as it recovers from the events of Season 1. Max Hastings has all the resources to stay out of prison, and it's up to Pip and her crew to use their skills to find justice once again. The romance between Pip and Ravi is sweet, and while Pip doesn't always make the right choices, they come from a strong sense of justice and respect for victims.
