What's the Story?

ADULTS is set in New York and follows an extremely tight-knit and almost codependent friend group in their 20s. Samir (Malik Elassal) has reign over his parents' house while they're away traveling, and he's decided to let the friend group live there. Billie (Lucy Freyer) feels stuck in her position at the news station; Issa (Amita Rao), filled with limitless determination, tries to get Samir to let boyfriend Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) move in; and the perceptive Anton (Owen Thiele) tries to balance his skepticism amidst all the chaos. How do you make sense of life when you're old enough to have a lot of responsibilities but too young to understand how any of it works?

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say ( 1 ):

This keen and contemporary series magnifies the awkward phase that is young adulthood. The characters in Adults are the right amount of awkward and chaotic, and the comedy is sharp and witty. This show does a great job of highlighting the societal purgatory where everyone expects you to have it all figured out while also not taking you seriously. The drug use, sexual content, and strong language makes this suitable for older teens.
