What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that All of Us Are Dead is a Korean action/horror series about a high school invaded by zombies. The series features heightened violence and gore, including fight scenes and some body horror (zombies biting flesh off of victims' necks, etc.) There's also at least one scene of sexual assault, in which some high school boys force a teenage girl to make a video topless. The series is available with English overdubbing, and profanity ("f--k,", "a--hole," "bitch," etc.) is used frequently. Combining high school relationship drama with stylized action and horror, All of Us Are Dead seems to be directed at a young audience, and enjoyment may depend on how much blood and guts the viewer can tolerate.

What's the Story?
The events of All of Us Are Dead begin when a rogue high school science teacher unwittingly turns his son into a zombie. Soon enough, the man-made undead disease begins spreading, violently, to the other students. The uninfected students attempt to mount a defense to the sudden zombie invasion, but it may be too late.
Is It Any Good?
Zombies tend to be fun horror subjects because of the wide range of things creators can do with them. The twist in All of Us Are Dead is the setting -- this invasion takes place exclusively in a high school, and the surviving students have to sort through some relationship dynamics to be able to successfully fight back. The series overcomes some cliches (e.g., a student getting infected from a lab rat's bite) with a relentless pace and stylized action that make it fun to watch, even when it all seems a little familiar.

Horror often uses monsters or bad guys as metaphors for feelings or experiences. What could the zombies in All of Us Are Dead be metaphors for? Does the symbolism grow or evolve throughout the series?
