All's Fair
What's the Story?
ALL's FAIR follows the messy divorce cases at a high-profile law firm in California. Fed up with the boys' club at their firm, Allura (Kim Kardashian,) Liberty (Naomi Watts,) and Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts,) leave and partner up to start their own firm. They vow to take what they learned from friend and mentor Dina Standish (Glenn Close), taking only female divorce clients. The trio leaves behind Carr (Sarah Paulson), who is scorned and plots to destroy them. As these women excel at winning settlements and digging up dirt, soon the mess starts popping up in their own backyards.
Is It Any Good?
This show is as facetious as it is fashionable. All's Fair is filled with unpleasant characters, corny punchlines, and celebrity cameos. It's at least self-aware of how unserious and unrealistic it is, but that doesn't help much. The characters and cases aren't remarkable, but viewers looking for an easy, entertaining, messy show will enjoy Murphy's signature campy touch on this series. The cursing, violence, consumerism, and sexual content makes this only suitable for older teens.
