I am 12 going on 13 and my parents allow me to watch anything as long as i do research on it and let them know what is going on in the show. i think that this may be my new favorite show. THere are some sex related topics but no sex showing. its nothing that 12+ would not expect. there are not many bad words, i think that they over-exaggerated with the disription for sure

THE BEST AHOW EVER

Am in absolute love with this show. It has so much good messages and great role models. It may contain s*x stuff a bit of drinking but it’s super goooood. Btw it’s not a show for homophobic people (eww *barfs*) and that another thing i love about this show. It contains Lgtbq stuff but i would rate this a 13+ year old. (Obviously it depends on your child’s maturity) But go watch it rn.

Nice happy show

This is such a cute show I originally only started watching for Cassey and Izzy, but got hooked and watched it all in a weekend. There is some talk about sex but it’s not bad.

Atypical was one of the first shows i watched when i turned 11. I really liked it. Sam's autism representation wasn't good but the struggles they all have are real. Sam with his autism, casey loosing her one safe place, zahid's cancer, elle's cheating... Kissing in the last seasons is pretty regular but nothing too much. Zahid's mentioning of sex is kind of the reason for 11+. Zahid's and Sam's friendship is really strong and i love every bit of it

Nice representation for people on the spectrum

I love this show!! Such great representation for people on the spectrum, and the show shows the struggles that go along with it. There is some mild rude humor and there is a lot of talk about sex, like A LOT, but you never see anything too intimate. I feel uncomfortable watching this with my parents because it is kind of awkward with all of the sex talk haha. Also don't know why but I feel like saying this because people are weird about this stuff but anyway, there is LGBT representation in the show, and two girls get together, which doesn't bother me but it may for some people. Overall I think this is suitable for anyone that is 14+.

Good but mature

I like this show no I find it eye opening on the topic of autism. Lots of great topics, LGTBQ representation and laughter. I do think that even though the first season is all about dating, they still could have toned down the sexy stuff. Also, one character takes drugs and another has a violent situation going on at home. One character is also quite rude to her parents. There is also lots of swearing.
